Summerlin Trail System Near The Paseos
The Summerlin Trail System offers over 150 miles of paved and natural surface paths, and The Paseos village sits at the western edge of the network with direct trail access from both of its community parks. Residents can walk, jog, or bike from their neighborhood into a valley wide trail system without ever driving to a trailhead.
How Many Miles of Trails Does Summerlin Have Near The Paseos?
Summerlin's trail network spans more than 150 miles across the entire master planned community. From The Paseos, the village's own two mile internal trail system connects seamlessly into this larger network at multiple access points. The Paseos Park and Fox Hill Park both serve as trail hubs where neighborhood paths merge with the broader Summerlin corridors that run north, south, and east through adjacent villages.
What Types of Trails Are Near The Paseos?
The trails closest to The Paseos are paved, multi use paths suitable for walking, jogging, cycling, and strollers. The Paseos and Fox Hill Parks Path, a 2.8 mile out and back route listed on AllTrails, is rated easy and takes approximately 59 minutes to complete. Beyond the village, the Summerlin system includes both paved community paths and connections toward natural terrain near Red Rock Canyon to the west. The Paseos' location at roughly 3,000 feet of elevation provides cooler temperatures, about 10 degrees lower than the valley floor during summer months.
Can You Reach Red Rock Canyon by Trail From The Paseos?
The Paseos backs up to the base of Red Rock Canyon, placing residents closer to the conservation area than nearly any other Summerlin village. While the Summerlin trail system itself is a community network of paved paths, the western trails bring you to the edge of the Red Rock corridor. From there, dedicated hiking trails and the scenic loop are a short drive away. The western views from The Paseos trails include the red sandstone formations and Spring Mountains, making even a quick neighborhood walk feel like a nature experience.
Local Insight
Ryan Rose frequently highlights the trail access when showing homes in The Paseos because it is something buyers do not fully appreciate from a listing photo. Living at the western edge of Summerlin means the trails feel less suburban and more like foothill paths, especially in the early morning when the Red Rock formations catch the sunrise. Runners and cyclists who move here from other parts of the valley consistently say the trail connectivity changed their daily routine.
