Olympia Companies is the original developer behind Skye Canyon, the 1,700 acre master plan in northwest Las Vegas that broke ground in 2014 and opened its first homes in 2016.

Who is Olympia Companies?

Olympia Companies is a master plan developer with a strong track record in Nevada. The firm built its reputation creating large, amenity rich communities in the Las Vegas area before launching Skye Canyon. Olympia served as the master developer, meaning it shaped the overall vision, infrastructure, and amenity package, then brought in homebuilders to deliver finished houses.

For Skye Canyon, Olympia assembled 1,700 acres along the northwest edge of Las Vegas near the US 95 and 215 corridor. The original plan called for about 6,500 homes, with some projections reaching as high as 9,000 at full buildout.

What did Olympia build at Skye Canyon?

Olympia set the design DNA that still defines Skye Canyon today. That included the five community parks, the trail network, the dedicated bike lanes, and the more than 4,000 trees planted across the master plan. The Skye Center fitness facility and the early park spaces all trace back to the Olympia plan.

On the homebuilding side, Olympia brought in a wide roster of national builders, including Toll Brothers, Lennar, Pulte, Beazer, LGI, Woodside, Richmond American, Pardee, and Taylor Morrison. Olympia stayed on as master developer through the first phases until selling the remaining 400 plus acres to Century Communities in 2020.
