Skye Canyon Trails and Bike Lanes
Skye Canyon was designed around active healthy living, and the trail and bike lane network is the proof. Miles of interconnected trails and dedicated on-street bike lanes connect every village to the Skye Canyon Park amenity hub.
What does the Skye Canyon trail network look like?
The trail system runs through the entire master plan and links the villages to the central amenity hub at Skye Canyon Park. Some trails are paved and run alongside roads, others are dirt and weave through open space. Dedicated bike lanes line many of the community streets, so residents can ride to the gym, the pool, or Aspire Coffee without sharing a lane with cars.
The community planted more than 4,000 trees throughout the master plan, which keeps the trails shaded and cooler in the summer than most northwest Las Vegas neighborhoods.
Where do the trails connect outside the community?
Skye Canyon sits near the 215 Beltway Trail, which gives residents access to a long regional path. Floyd Lamb Park and Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument are both close, and the community trail system makes it easy to reach those starting points on foot or by bike. The annual 8K Trail Mix race and 5K Road Run use the community trail and street network as their official routes.
Ryan Rose recommends the trail network to active lifestyle buyers because it changes the way a household uses the master plan. Clients who run, cycle, or walk a dog tell him the trails are the amenity they end up using daily, even more than the pool or the gym.
Local Insight from Ryan Rose
The trail and bike lane network is the quietest reason Skye Canyon scores so high on resident satisfaction. You feel it in the morning when half the community is out walking, jogging, or riding.
