Fremont Street Experience's free, all-ages Country Night is Saturday, Nov. 7, and the official event page now shows a full day, not just a few evening sets. Guided country line dancing runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Fremont Party Pit opens at 6 p.m., the night is billed to start at 7 p.m. on all stages, and The Morgan Wallen Experience tribute takes the 3rd Street Stage at 9 p.m.
That matters if you are planning a family outing. When the event was first announced, the only times out there were the evening concert slots. Now there is an afternoon option for kids and for anyone who would rather be home before dark, plus a silent disco, food trucks and a merch station.
We first wrote about this event when FOX5 broke the news in mid-October. You can read our earlier coverage of Country Night for the original announcement. This post focuses on what has been added since, how the stages and activities are laid out, and the practical stuff: where to park, what it costs and how to plan the day.
What Happened
On Oct. 15, FOX5 reporter KaiBrina Parkman published "Free country music festival coming to downtown Las Vegas with three stages." The story said Fremont Street Experience would host Country Night on Saturday, Nov. 7. It is free and open to all ages. FOX5 listed three acts: the Kendra Daniels Band on the Main Street Stage at 8 p.m., the Tony Marques Band on the 1st Street Stage at 8 p.m., and The Morgan Wallen Experience: A Tribute to a Modern Country Icon on the 3rd Street Stage at 9 p.m. FOX5 also mentioned food trucks, merchandise vendors, a silent disco and the Fremont Street Party Pit.
Since then, Fremont Street Experience has posted its own Country Night page, with the tagline "ALL COUNTRY. ALL VEGAS." on its homepage. The page fills in a lot more of the day. Here is what it lists:
- Country Line Dancing: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on 3rd Street. The page calls it guided and open to all skill levels.
- Fremont Party Pit: starts at 6 p.m. on 3rd Street, across from the 3rd Street Stage. The page says guests get chances at free swag and SlotZilla zipline rides.
- Event start: 7 p.m., listed for "All Stages."
- The Morgan Wallen Experience: 9 p.m. on the 3rd Street Stage, listed as a free concert.
- Silent "Rodeo" Disco: on Casino Center Boulevard. It is an open-air silent disco with headphones. No time is listed.
- Food trucks and a custom merch station: both on 3rd Street. No times are listed.
The page also mentions giveaways and interactive photo ops. It says all ages are welcome.
One thing to know: the official page names only one band, The Morgan Wallen Experience. The Kendra Daniels Band and the Tony Marques Band, which FOX5 reported for 8 p.m., do not appear on the Fremont Street Experience page as of this writing. That does not mean they were cut. It may just mean the page highlights the headliner. But if you are going mainly to see one of those two bands, check the official page or the venue's social accounts the week of the show.
Why It Matters to Las Vegas Residents
The new afternoon block changes who this event works for. An 8 p.m. or 9 p.m. concert is a hard sell for families with young kids. A line dancing session from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. is not. Parents can bring kids down in the afternoon, learn a few steps, grab food and head home before bedtime. People who want the full night can stay for the 7 p.m. start and the 9 p.m. tribute set.
It is also free. There is no ticket for the music, the line dancing, the silent disco or the Party Pit, based on what the official page and FOX5 report. For a lot of Las Vegas families, a night of live entertainment means tickets, fees and parking that add up fast. Here, the main costs are parking or a ride, plus whatever you eat or buy.
The layout matters, too. Most of the action sits on 3rd Street: line dancing, the Party Pit, food trucks, merch and the headliner stage. The silent disco is just off the main mall on Casino Center Boulevard. That means a family can set up near one end of the mall and not have to walk the full length of Fremont Street with tired kids. If you want the quietest spot, the afternoon line dancing window is likely the best bet, before the evening crowd arrives.
Finally, this is a local-friendly night downtown. A lot of people in Summerlin, Henderson and the southwest valley rarely go to Fremont Street unless guests are in town. A themed night with an afternoon option is an easy reason to come back and see how downtown has changed.
Background and History
Fremont Street Experience is the covered pedestrian mall in downtown Las Vegas, and free live music is a regular part of what it offers. The venue's own music page sums it up with "No tickets. No velvet ropes." There are three permanent stages along the mall. Fremont Street Experience's stage listings place the Main Street Stage between Circa and Golden Gate, the 1st Street Stage between Circa and Binion's, and the 3rd Street Stage between The D and Four Queens.
Those built-in stages are what make a night like this possible. With three stages, organizers can run several things at once, and people can walk from one to the next under the canopy. Theme nights take that a step further. Instead of a normal Saturday lineup, the whole mall leans into one style of music, with extras built around it.
The canopy is part of the show no matter who is on stage. According to Fremont Street Experience, the light and sound show on the canopy plays at the top of every hour, starting at 6 p.m. nightly. So if you are there for the evening, you will likely catch at least one or two canopy shows between sets.
The Party Pit is the hub for giveaways. On Country Night it sits on 3rd Street, across from the 3rd Street Stage, and opens at 6 p.m. The official page ties it to giveaways, including chances at free swag and SlotZilla zipline rides. SlotZilla is the zipline that runs above the mall. Riding it normally costs money. Fremont Street Experience lists tickets starting at $49, so a free ride is a real prize.
Country Night lands on the first Saturday after Halloween and before Thanksgiving, a stretch of the calendar when many families are looking for something to do that does not cost much.
What Happens Next
Here is the day as it stands, based on the Fremont Street Experience page and FOX5. Times can change, so check before you head out.
- 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Guided country line dancing on 3rd Street.
- 6 p.m.: Fremont Party Pit opens on 3rd Street, across from the 3rd Street Stage.
- 6 p.m. and every hour after: Canopy light and sound show at the top of the hour.
- 7 p.m.: Country Night begins on all stages, per the official page.
- 8 p.m.: FOX5 reported the Kendra Daniels Band on the Main Street Stage and the Tony Marques Band on the 1st Street Stage. These two are not on the official page yet.
- 9 p.m.: The Morgan Wallen Experience on the 3rd Street Stage.
Neither source lists an end time. Fremont Street Experience also has not posted times for the silent disco, food trucks or merch station. If you plan to arrive late, expect some vendors may wind down before the stages do.
In the week before Nov. 7, watch the official Country Night page. If the two local bands are confirmed or swapped, that is where it will show up first. FOX5's story is the only report that names them, and we have not found a second source that confirms or removes them.
Ryan's Take
I like that this event now has a daytime piece. When I talk with families moving to Las Vegas, the first worry is often that all the fun here is late, loud and adult. Then they learn about events like this: free, all ages, and with an afternoon slot built for kids. That changes how people see the valley as a place to raise a family, not just a place to visit.
It is also a good reminder about where you live and how you use the city. If you are in Summerlin, Mountains Edge or Henderson, Fremont Street is a planned trip with a drive and a parking bill. If you live closer to downtown, it can be a quick, spur-of-the-moment outing. Neither is better. Some of my buyers want a quiet street and are happy to drive in for a show once a month. Others want to be close to the action. Knowing which one you are saves a lot of time when you start looking at homes. Free events like Country Night are an easy, low-cost way to test how much you actually enjoy being downtown.
What You Can Do
Pick your window. Families with young kids may want the 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. line dancing block. Music fans can aim for the 7 p.m. start and stay for the 9 p.m. tribute set. You can also do both, with a dinner break in between.
Plan your parking. The Fremont Street Experience parking garage is at 111 S. 4th Street. The entrance is at 4th and Carson. Because 4th Street is one-way, you turn onto it from Carson Avenue. The exit is on Carson Avenue, between Las Vegas Boulevard and 4th Street. On a Saturday, the garage's standard rates apply: $5 for up to 30 minutes, $8 for up to an hour, $15 for one to two hours, $18 for two to three hours and $25 for three to 24 hours. The garage notes that fees can change and may vary by event, so check with the attendant. It gives a 15-minute grace period after you enter. A lost ticket costs $25. You can pay at kiosks on the first or second floor, or by text for a 50-cent fee. The garage does not validate, and cars left more than 24 hours risk being towed.
Check clearance if you drive something tall. The parking page lists both a 7-foot and an 8-foot clearance in different spots, and says the limit drops on upper levels. If you drive a tall van or truck, confirm before you pull in. Other downtown casinos have their own garages, including Circa, Golden Gate, The D, Main Street Station, Four Queens and Golden Nugget, but most charge non-guests.
Pack light. Fremont Street Experience posts a clear bag policy on its site. Look at it before you go so you are not turned around at the entrance.
Know the 21+ piece. The Country Night page also lists a separate promotion at Bar Prohibition! inside Golden Gate Hotel & Casino. That promotion is for guests 21 and older only. The rest of Country Night is listed as all ages.
Set a meeting spot. With activities spread across 3rd Street, Casino Center Boulevard and three stages, pick one landmark for your group in case you split up. The 3rd Street Stage is an easy one, since so much is happening near it.
Share it. If you know a country fan or a family looking for a free Saturday plan, send this their way.
