Bear's Best Las Vegas is a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course located at 11111 West Flamingo Road, just minutes from the Ridgebrook community in Summerlin. After more than two decades as a celebrated public course, Bear's Best closed to the public in June 2025 and is now being transformed into a premium private country club with a projected reopening in late 2026.

What Made Bear's Best Las Vegas Special?

Bear's Best opened in 2001 as an 18 hole tribute course featuring replicas of Jack Nicklaus's most celebrated hole designs from courses around the world. The par 72 layout stretched 7,194 yards and included recreations of holes from PGA West in La Quinta, La Paloma in Tucson, and Castle Pines in Colorado. A 75,000 square foot grass driving range rounded out the practice facilities.

The course sat on land adjacent to The Ridges, one of Summerlin's most prestigious guard gated communities. For Ridgebrook residents, Bear's Best was one of the closest golf options, reachable in under five minutes via West Flamingo Road. The course earned strong reviews for its immaculate conditioning and the unique experience of playing Nicklaus designs without traveling to multiple states.

What Is Happening to Bear's Best Now?

Mulligan Holdings Inc. purchased Bear's Best for $30.5 million and is investing up to $300 million to convert the property into a luxury private club. The redevelopment is led by Andrew Pascal and Mike Mixer, both residents of The Ridges. Construction began in September 2025, and the new club is projected to open in October 2026.

Plans include a redesigned golf course, high end clubhouse, boutique villas, and hospitality suites.
