Bark Park at Heritage Park Henderson

by Ryan Rose

Bark Park at Heritage Park is the City of Henderson's largest dog park, located at 350 S. Racetrack Rd. in Henderson, NV 89015. This 5 acre facility was designed with direct input from pet owners and regular dog park users, and it delivers a unique experience that goes well beyond a basic fenced lot. If you live near Black Mountain and have a dog, this is the top destination in the area.

What Makes Bark Park Different From Other Dog Parks?

Bark Park stands out because of its size and amenities. The 5 acre grounds include separate dog runs for large and small breeds, a full agility course, a walking trail, and dog bone themed benches throughout the park. Drinking stations serve both pets and their owners.

The highlight is a splash pad built exclusively for dogs. Open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. between May 1 and September 30, the splash pad gives dogs a place to cool off during Henderson's hottest months. No other dog park in Henderson offers this feature.

What Are the Rules at Bark Park?

The City of Henderson maintains clear rules to keep the park safe and enjoyable. Owners may bring a maximum of three dogs at a time. All dogs must be leashed before entering the park grounds and when exiting the designated off leash areas. Children under age 5 are not permitted inside the fenced off leash zones.

The park also hosts classes, programs, and small dog shows throughout the year. These events give pet owners a chance to socialize and train their dogs in a structured environment.

How Far Is Bark Park From Black Mountain?

Bark Park at Heritage Park sits just northwest of the Black Mountain community along Racetrack Road. The drive takes roughly 5 to 10 minutes from most Black Mountain neighborhoods, making it an easy after work or weekend trip. Heritage Park itself is one of Henderson's flagship parks, so you can combine a dog park visit with walking trails, sports fields, and picnic areas all in the same location.
