Aloha Shores Park: Tennis, Pickleball, and Bocce Near Desert Shores

by Ryan Rose

Aloha Shores Park is a 5 acre public park just outside Desert Shores at 7550 Sauer Street, with tennis, pickleball, volleyball, bocce, and a paved walking path.

What is Aloha Shores Park?

Aloha Shores Park is a City of Las Vegas public park located right next to Desert Shores. The address is 7550 Sauer Street, a quick drive or even a short walk from many homes inside the community. Five acres give the park enough room for sport courts, a playground, and shaded picnic space.

This is the public companion to Desert Shores' private amenities. Anyone can use it, no membership needed. Families, retirees, and league players all show up here on a regular basis.

What courts and activities are available?

The athletic options are the main draw. Aloha Shores has 2 free, unlit tennis courts and 4 outdoor pickleball courts with permanent lines, all first-come, first-served. There are also volleyball, bocce, and horseshoe areas, plus a playground for younger kids.

A paved walking path winds around the perimeter, perfect for an easy lap or pushing a stroller. Picnic tables and a BBQ grill round out the setup. The picnic area can hold up to 100 people, but groups need a reservation.

How do you reserve the picnic area?

Group reservations for the Aloha Shores picnic area go through the City of Las Vegas at 702-229-6011. Drop in play on the courts does not require a reservation. Las Vegas Realtor Ryan Rose often points buyers to Aloha Shores when they want competitive pickleball or tennis without joining a club, since court time in many parts of town now requires advance booking.

Local Insight from Ryan Rose

In conversations with active buyers, Ryan Rose has noticed Aloha Shores Park doing more lifting in the home search than most people expect. Pickleball players in particular love that 4 dedicated courts sit two minutes from Desert Shores front doors. It pairs beautifully with the private Lagoon Beach Park; you get the resort feel inside the community and free public courts right outside the gate.
