Lagoon Beach Park: The 200,000 Gallon Pool Inside Desert Shores

by Ryan Rose

Lagoon Beach Park is a private, 200,000 gallon lagoon-style pool with a sandy beach, palm trees, and summer lifeguards, available exclusively to Desert Shores residents.

What is Lagoon Beach Park?

Lagoon Beach Park is the crown jewel of the Desert Shores Community Association amenities. The centerpiece is a 200,000 gallon lagoon-style swimming pool surrounded by a real sandy beach and tall palm trees. It feels closer to a resort than a neighborhood pool.

The park sits inside Desert Shores and is open six days a week during spring and summer, including holidays. Lifeguards are on duty in the summer months. The atmosphere is relaxed, family friendly, and unlike anything else in the master-planned community.

What can you do at Lagoon Beach Park?

There is plenty to do beyond the pool. The park includes a toddler playground, picnic pavilions, BBQ grills, basketball courts, and volleyball courts. Kayaks and paddle boats are available for use on the connected lake.

Families spread out blankets on the sand, kids splash in the shallow areas, and adults grill lunch under the pavilions. It works as a daily summer hangout, a birthday party spot, and a place to host out-of-town guests.

Who can use Lagoon Beach Park?

Access is members only. Lagoon Beach Park is exclusive to Desert Shores Community Association (DSCA) members in good standing. Residents 14 and older need a digital membership ID to enter, and each household can bring up to 10 guests at a time. Real estate specialist Ryan Rose tells buyers this private amenity is one of the biggest reasons Desert Shores commands a premium over surrounding neighborhoods.

Local Insight from Ryan Rose

Drawing on years of experience selling homes in Desert Shores, Ryan Rose has seen the lagoon pool change minds during showings. Buyers walk in expecting a standard HOA pool, then see the sand beach and palm trees and immediately picture summers there. It is the kind of amenity that justifies the HOA fees and helps homes hold value when other Las Vegas neighborhoods cool off.
