Will the Silverstone Ranch Golf Course Reopen?

by Ryan Rose

As of 2026, whether the Silverstone Ranch golf course will reopen is undecided, and no plan to restore it as golf or redevelop the land has been announced or approved.

Will the Silverstone Ranch Golf Course Reopen as Golf?

There is no announced plan for the Silverstone Ranch golf course to reopen as golf. The land sold at auction in May 2025 for roughly $2.8 million to Las Vegas land investor Khusrow "K" Roohani, who said he has no set plans and pledged to consult residents first.

Restoring the course would be a major undertaking. Bringing a 270 acre, 27 hole layout back to life would demand heavy investment, including the cost and water needed to revive fairways that have been dry since the water was shut off in 2015. The roughly 34,000 square foot clubhouse also burned in a 2021 arson fire, so any golf revival would essentially start from scratch. None of that means it cannot happen, only that nothing is planned or funded today.

What Decides Whether the Golf Course Reopens?

Several factors will decide whether the golf course reopens or takes a new direction. A 2002 recorded covenant requires the land to remain a 27 hole golf course unless at least 75% of Silverstone Ranch homeowners approve an alternative use, so residents hold real power over any change.

The property also carried more than $12 million in recorded liens, which shaped its low auction price and complicates the math for any redevelopment. For now the course stays closed and unmaintained, and no application has reached the City of Las Vegas or the HOA. Residents formed a "Saving Silverstone Ranch" group to stay involved, so the outcome remains genuinely open as of 2026.
