Queensridge Commute Times to the Strip and Airport

by Ryan Rose

Queensridge sits roughly 10 miles northwest of the Las Vegas Strip and about 12 miles from Harry Reid International Airport. For residents who work on the Strip, commute downtown, or travel frequently, the location offers a quiet residential setting without sacrificing access to the valley's main employment and travel corridors.

Drive Times to the Las Vegas Strip

The commute from Queensridge to the Las Vegas Strip takes approximately 20 minutes under normal traffic conditions. The most direct routes use Charleston Boulevard eastbound or Summerlin Parkway to US 95 South. During peak morning and evening rush hours, the drive may extend to 25 or 30 minutes depending on which section of the Strip you are targeting. Residents heading to the northern Strip near the Sahara or Encore can expect slightly shorter travel times than those commuting to properties on the southern end near Mandalay Bay.

Drive Times to Harry Reid International Airport

Harry Reid International Airport is approximately 12 miles southeast of Queensridge. Under typical conditions, the drive takes 20 to 25 minutes. The most common route follows US 95 South to I 15 South or I 215 East, depending on which terminal you need. For early morning flights, travel time can drop below 20 minutes. Evening and weekend departures during convention season may push drive time closer to 30 minutes.

Downtown Las Vegas Access

Downtown Las Vegas, including the Fremont Street district and the Arts District, is roughly 20 minutes from Queensridge. This route typically follows US 95 South directly into the downtown corridor. For residents who work in the legal, government, or financial offices clustered downtown, this commute is predictable and largely highway based.

Work From Home Factor

A notable portion of Queensridge residents do not commute at all. Data for the community shows a 35.8% work from home rate, well above the national average. The guard gated setting, quiet streets, and residential scale of the homes make Queensridge particularly well suited for remote professionals who need a distraction free environment.

Proximity to Everyday Destinations

Beyond the Strip and airport, Queensridge is positioned within minutes of Summerlin's retail, dining, and medical centers. Summerlin Hospital Medical Center is a 6 minute drive, roughly 2.6 miles from the community. Downtown Summerlin, the area's primary shopping and entertainment hub, is also a short drive west.

How Queensridge Compares

Compared to guard gated communities farther out in the southwest valley or Henderson, Queensridge benefits from its relatively central west Las Vegas location. Residents get the privacy and security of a gated community while staying within a 20 to 25 minute window of the Strip, the airport, and downtown.
