Reverence in Summerlin is a practical community for dog owners and pet families thanks to its extensive trail network, walkable layout, and guard gated streets. While the community does not have a dedicated off leash dog park within its gates, the daily infrastructure for pet owners is strong.

Walking Routes Inside the Community

The internal walking paths that connect Reverence neighborhoods to the park and clubhouse provide convenient routes for daily dog walks. The streets inside the guard gate carry only residential traffic, which means less vehicle noise and lower speeds compared to open neighborhoods. Many residents walk their dogs along these internal paths morning and evening.

The walking track at Reverence Park is another option, though dogs must be on a leash at all times within the park. The park itself does not permit off leash dogs.

Summerlin Trail Access

Beyond the community gates, Reverence connects to Summerlin's 200 plus mile trail system. These paved and natural surface trails give dog owners miles of walking and hiking options without needing to drive. The trails are shared use, so dogs must be leashed, but the variety of routes means you can mix up the daily walk easily.

For more adventurous outings, Red Rock Canyon is approximately five minutes by car and offers over 30 miles of hiking trails. Dogs are permitted on most trails within the conservation area but must be leashed.

Nearby Dog Parks

The closest dedicated off leash dog parks are located in the broader Summerlin and Las Vegas area. Bark Park at Heritage Park and Dog Fancier's Park are among the more popular options in the valley. While these require a short drive from Reverence, the community's internal trails handle most of the daily exercise needs for dogs.

HOA Pet Policies

As with any HOA community, Reverence has pet policies that residents should review before purchasing. Typical rules include leash requirements in common areas, waste cleanup responsibilities, and potential breed or size restrictions. Ryan Rose recommends requesting the current CC&Rs from the HOA to confirm specific pet rules before closing.

Local Insight

Ryan Rose notes that Reverence's guard gated streets and trail connectivity make it one of the more practical communities in Summerlin for dog owners who walk daily. The low traffic inside the gate and the immediate trail access eliminate the need to load dogs in the car for basic exercise. He suggests walking the internal paths during a tour to see how comfortable the routes feel for pet owners.
