Lake Jacqueline: Desert Shores' Largest Lake
Lake Jacqueline is the largest of the four private lakes in Desert Shores Las Vegas, stretching 1.1 miles long and covering roughly 24.8 acres of water surface, more than double the size of any other lake in the community.
How big is Lake Jacqueline in Desert Shores?
Lake Jacqueline measures approximately 24.8 acres and runs over a mile in length, making it the centerpiece of the four private resident lakes inside Desert Shores. By comparison, Lakes Sarah, Maddison, and Lindsey each measure about 12 acres. Together the four lakes cover roughly 100 acres of water surface across the 682 acre community.
The lake is named after one of community founder Hal's granddaughters, a tradition shared by all four Desert Shores lakes. The lake supports the longest paddling routes, the most fishing access points, and the highest concentration of waterfront homes in the neighborhood.
What makes Lake Jacqueline unique among the four lakes?
Lake Jacqueline is the only lake inside Desert Shores that hosts Restaurant Row at 2620 Regatta Drive. Six waterfront restaurants line the shoreline: Marche Bacchus, Americana, Vino Aromi, Daily Bread LV, Buena Vista Kitchen, and Super Chill. None of the other three lakes have any commercial dining on their water.
The lake also draws kayakers, rowers, and pontoon owners who want longer routes than the smaller lakes allow. Boats must be at least 8 feet long, electric only (no gas motors), and registered with the DSCA.
A Local Take from Ryan Rose
As a Las Vegas real estate specialist who tours Desert Shores regularly, Ryan Rose finds buyers consistently choose Lake Jacqueline frontage when they want the full experience: walkable dining, longer paddling, and the deepest pool of waterfront resale comps. Lakefront homes here typically command a $100,000 to $200,000 premium over equivalent non waterfront homes inside the same community.
