What Does the Northwest Offer Downsizers?

Skye Canyon is a newer master plan just off US 95 at Skye Canyon Park Drive. Its official site says homes start in the $400s and lists Century Communities, Toll Brothers and LGI Homes as builders of single family homes and townhouses. Residents get trails, bike lanes and the Skye Fitness center.

The Skye Canyon site does not list an age restricted neighborhood. Downsizers here usually buy a smaller single story plan in an all ages community instead.

Centennial Hills gives older adults a strong place to stay active. The City of Las Vegas runs the Centennial Hills Active Adult Center at 6601 North Buffalo Drive for people 50 and older. A yearly membership is $10, and it includes a fitness room, a library and an indoor lap pool.

Centennial Hills Hospital is also close, at 6900 North Durango Drive.
