Math proficiency reaches 63 percent and reading proficiency hits 74 percent, both significantly above the state averages of 30 percent and 43 percent respectively.

The curriculum emphasizes math, science, and technology with a Project Lead The Way program that introduces students to engineering and computer science concepts. Coral Academy is a tuition free public charter school, and admission is handled through a lottery system. The campus earns a 9 out of 10 GreatSchools rating and serves approximately 122 students.

Reading proficiency falls between 70 and 74 percent, the graduation rate is 95 percent, and the average ACT score is 23. Many graduates leave with enough college credits to enter university as sophomores, saving families significant money on higher education costs.

How Charter School Enrollment Works

All three charter schools use a lottery based admission system, which means enrollment is not guaranteed by home address. Families interested in these schools should submit applications early, as demand consistently exceeds available seats.
