Henderson Silver Knights 2026-27 Schedule
PWHL Las Vegas released its first-ever schedule this week: 30 regular-season games, with 12 home games at T-Mobile Arena and one at Lee's Family Forum in Henderson, and single-game tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. PT. On the same weekend, the Henderson Silver Knights won their season opener 4-3 over the Bakersfield Condors, and the Vegas Golden Knights split their first two games to sit at 1-1-0 heading into their first road game.
That is a lot of hockey for one week in Southern Nevada. If you live here, three teams now give you three very different ways to watch the sport, at three different price points. A brand new women's pro team is coming to the Strip in December. A minor league team in Henderson sells seats starting at $19 and lets kids shoot a puck on the ice after every Sunday home game. And the NHL team most of us already follow is back on free local TV for a fourth straight season.
Here is everything that happened from Sept. 28 to Oct. 4, what it means for local families, and the dates worth putting on your calendar right now.
What Happened This Week in Las Vegas Hockey
PWHL Las Vegas released its first schedule
On Friday, Oct. 2, the Professional Women's Hockey League posted the full 2026-27 schedule for PWHL Las Vegas. The team will play 30 regular-season games. Twelve of the home games are at T-Mobile Arena on the Strip, and one more home game is at Lee's Family Forum in Henderson. The league says every team will visit Las Vegas at least once, so local fans get a look at every club in the league.
This is a big season for the whole league, not just Las Vegas. The PWHL's fourth season runs from Saturday, Dec. 5, 2026 through Sunday, April 18, 2027, with a league-record 180 games. There are now 12 teams split into an Eastern Conference and a Western Conference for the first time. Las Vegas plays in the West with PWHL Detroit, the Minnesota Frost, PWHL San Jose, the Seattle Torrent and the Vancouver Goldeneyes. Las Vegas plays 18 games inside its conference and 12 games against the East.
The home opener was announced a few days earlier, on Sept. 28. PWHL Las Vegas plays its first-ever home game Sunday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. PT against PWHL Detroit at T-Mobile Arena. The league calls it its first all-expansion matchup of the new season. The team's first road game is Sunday, Dec. 20 at 4 p.m. PT against the Seattle Torrent.
Tickets come in stages. Flex packs went on sale Oct. 2 at noon PT. Season ticket memberships are also available. Single-game tickets open Friday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. PT. The playoffs are growing too: the Walter Cup Playoffs expand to eight teams over three rounds, the top four teams in each conference.
The Henderson Silver Knights won their opener
The Henderson Silver Knights, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights, opened their home season Saturday, Oct. 3 at Lee's Family Forum. They beat the Bakersfield Condors 4-3. According to the Condors' own game release, Alex Weiermair scored his first professional goal in the first period. Alexander Holtz scored in the second period to make it 2-0, then added a power-play goal with just over four minutes left. Bakersfield scored three times in the third period, including a late 6-on-4 power-play goal, but it was not enough. The two teams played again on Sunday, Oct. 4.
The Golden Knights started 1-1
The Vegas Golden Knights lost 4-3 to the Anaheim Ducks on Friday, Oct. 2 at T-Mobile Arena. Anaheim led 4-0 after two periods. Then Vegas pushed back. Shea Theodore scored about five minutes into the third period, Tomas Hertl scored on the power play, and Braeden Bowman scored with 2:50 left to make it a one-goal game. Vegas could not find the tying goal. The loss left the Golden Knights at 1-1-0 heading into their first road game, Sunday, Oct. 4 against the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena.
According to the team's Oct. 4 Morning Skate Report, Jack Eichel has five points (one goal, four assists) to start the season and was tied for third in the NHL in points. He is the second Golden Knight to open a season with back-to-back multi-assist games. Mark Stone is three points away from 400 points as a Golden Knight.
Where to watch VGK this season
Also on Oct. 2, the Golden Knights announced their TV team for 2026-27. For a fourth straight season, Scripps Sports' The Spot Vegas-34 will exclusively broadcast 69 regular-season games. All 69 of those locally televised games also stream on KnightTime+. Dave Goucher and Shane Hnidy return to the booth for their 10th season together. Every game also airs on the radio on X 107.9, and games are called in Spanish on 105.7 Maxima.
Why It Matters to Las Vegas Residents
For years, Las Vegas was the city with no major pro teams. Now hockey alone gives locals three teams at three levels, and each one fits a different kind of night out. That matters for families trying to plan fun things to do that do not involve the Strip's tourist prices.
Start with the PWHL. This is the top women's pro league in the world, and the league says it features the best women's hockey players in the world. For local girls who play hockey, having a pro women's team play 12 games at T-Mobile Arena is a big deal. They can watch the level they hope to reach, in the same building where the Golden Knights play. The one home game at Lee's Family Forum also brings the team closer to families in Henderson, Green Valley and the southeast valley.
Next, the Silver Knights. With single-game tickets starting at $19, this is one of the more affordable live sports options in Clark County. The team's Kids Day program runs at every Sunday home game this season. According to the Silver Knights, fans 14 and under get a special giveaway at each Sunday home game and are invited to walk onto the ice for a postgame slapshot. That is the kind of memory a young fan talks about for weeks. Lee's Family Forum sits at 200 S. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson, an easy drive for families in Green Valley, Anthem, Inspirada and the southwest valley.
Finally, the Golden Knights TV news answers a question a lot of locals still ask: "Where is the game on?" The answer for most regular-season games is The Spot Vegas-34, which is free over-the-air TV in the Las Vegas market, plus the KnightTime+ streaming option. You do not need a pricey cable package to follow the team. For a household watching its monthly budget, that is real money saved over an 82-game season.
There is also a bigger picture. Pro sports bring people downtown, to the Strip and to Henderson on nights when they might otherwise stay home. Restaurants, bars and shops near T-Mobile Arena and Lee's Family Forum feel that. A new team with 12 home dates adds more of those nights to the calendar.
Background and History
PWHL Las Vegas is brand new. The league named it one of four new expansion teams on May 13. The PWHL itself was founded in 2023 and played its first season starting in January 2024. In three years, it has grown from a short list of original teams to 12 teams across the United States and Canada. This season adds conferences, more games, an expanded playoff and more national TV in the U.S., including PWHL Las Vegas twice on ION's Game of the Week. All 180 regular-season games will be on the PWHL's YouTube channel and at thepwhl.com.
The league is also bringing back its Takeover Tour, where teams play games in cities outside their home markets. The tour grows from 16 games to 24 this season. PWHL Las Vegas has four Takeover Tour games, marked on its schedule as TBD, on Jan. 16, Feb. 7, March 10 and March 21. There is also a one-week break in March around the first PWHL All-Star event on March 7, 2027 in Toronto.
The Henderson Silver Knights moved into Lee's Family Forum in Henderson as the Golden Knights' top minor league team. The Silver Knights are owned in part by Bill Foley and his family and run by the Foley Entertainment Group. Players move back and forth between Henderson and the NHL club all season, so the guy you watch for $19 in Henderson could be playing at T-Mobile Arena a few weeks later. Holtz, who scored twice in Henderson's opener, also scored for the Golden Knights against Vancouver last season, according to the Golden Knights' Morning Skate Report.
The Golden Knights are in their 10th season as a franchise, which the team is calling Season X. They were the most successful expansion team in North American pro sports history in 2017-18, won the Stanley Cup in 2022-23, and have reached the Stanley Cup Final three times. This is also the fourth season of the Scripps Sports deal that moved most games to free local TV, a big change from the years when watching at home meant paying for a regional sports network.
What Happens Next
The next date to circle is Friday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. PT. That is when single-game tickets for PWHL Las Vegas go on sale. If you want the Dec. 6 home opener against PWHL Detroit, those tickets have been on sale since Sept. 28. If you want a few games without a full season commitment, flex packs are already available. The league also says more TV coverage, including regional partnerships with over-the-air broadcast groups, will be announced before the season starts on Dec. 5.
For the Golden Knights, the first road trip started Sunday, Oct. 4 in Vancouver. Keep an eye on Mark Stone, who needs three more points to reach 400 as a Golden Knight. That milestone could come early in the season, and it will be a fun one for longtime fans who remember his arrival. Games that are not on national TV will be on The Spot Vegas-34 and KnightTime+, with radio on X 107.9 and Spanish radio on 105.7 Maxima.
For the Silver Knights, every Sunday home game this season is a Kids Day. Check the team's website for the next Sunday home date and ticket prices before you go. Arriving early is a good idea, since giveaways at the team's opening weekend were first come, first served.
Ryan's Take
I get asked all the time what there is to do in Las Vegas if you are not a tourist. Weeks like this one are my answer. In one weekend, a family in Henderson could watch the Silver Knights for $19 a seat, catch the Golden Knights on free TV the next night, and lock in tickets to see the best women's hockey players in the world at T-Mobile Arena in December. That is a lot of local life for one valley, and it is a big part of why people who move here end up staying.
Lee's Family Forum is a good example. It is in Henderson, close to Green Valley, and it gives that part of the valley a real hometown sports venue. When buyers ask me what a neighborhood is like, I talk about schools, parks and commute times. But I also talk about what you can do on a Tuesday night or a Sunday afternoon. Easy access to affordable family events is one of those quiet things that makes a neighborhood feel like home. Pro hockey in Henderson and on the Strip adds to that list.
What You Can Do
If you want to see PWHL Las Vegas, set a reminder for Friday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. PT, when single-game tickets go on sale. You can also sign up for the PWHL Las Vegas email newsletter for ticket updates. If you want the home opener on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. against PWHL Detroit, those tickets are already on sale. Want to watch from home? All 180 PWHL regular-season games will be on the league's YouTube channel and at thepwhl.com.
If you have kids, try a Silver Knights Sunday home game at Lee's Family Forum. Kids 14 and under get a giveaway and a chance to take a postgame slapshot on the ice. Single-game tickets start at $19. It is one of the best-value family outings in the valley.
If you just want to follow the Golden Knights, you can skip the cable bill. Tune in to The Spot Vegas-34 over the air or stream on KnightTime+ for the 69 locally televised games. Radio fans can listen on X 107.9, and Spanish-speaking fans can tune in to 105.7 Maxima. Then watch for Mark Stone's 400th point as a Golden Knight.
