What Is North Las Vegas Like?

North Las Vegas became a city in 1946. Much of its newer housing sits in planned communities on the north end, along the 215 Beltway.

Aliante is the best known. It covers 1,900 acres and opened in 2003. It includes Aliante Nature Discovery Park and Sun City Aliante, a 55 and over Del Webb community. Aliante Golf Club is a public course inside Sun City Aliante.

Craig Ranch Regional Park is the city's big gathering spot. It covers 170 acres and opened in 2013 on a former golf course. Its amphitheater seats more than 8,000 people. The park also has a 65,000 square foot skate park and dog parks.

What Is Henderson Like?

Henderson is the second largest city in Nevada. It grew in waves of master plans. Green Valley began in 1971 and Anthem in 1988. Inspirada and Cadence are newer and still adding homes.

The city runs its own parks system with 72 parks and over 220 miles of trails. It also sits closer to Lake Las Vegas and Lake Mead, which is a plus for boaters and hikers.

Who Does Each City Fit?

North Las Vegas tends to fit buyers who work on the north side of the valley or along Interstate 15. It also suits people who want a newer home in a planned community like Aliante, with Craig Ranch nearby for concerts and events.
