Henderson Hot Rod Days Takes Over Water Street October 2 and 3

What Happened

The Las Vegas Sun reported in its community briefs that Henderson Hot Rod Days returns for its seventh year on October 2 and 3, 2026. The event is presented by the City of Henderson along with the Boulder City Cruisin' Association, a car club group that has run cruise-in style shows in Southern Nevada for years.

The headquarters is Water Street Plaza at 240 S. Water St. That is the open gathering space in the middle of Henderson's historic downtown, a few blocks off Boulder Highway and an easy drive from almost anywhere in the eastern valley. The show spreads out from there and down the street itself.

Organizers expect more than 700 vehicles. That number covers a wide range. Hot rods and street rods, which are older cars rebuilt and modified by their owners. Muscle cars from the classic American performance era. Trucks, which have become one of the fastest growing categories at shows like this. And motorcycles, which usually get their own corner of the footprint.

Hours are set for both days. Friday, October 2 runs from 4 to 10 p.m., which makes it an after-work event. Saturday, October 3 runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., a full day. The Friday night entertainment headliner is Electric Avenue, The '80s MTV Experience, a tribute act built around the music video era. Downtown Henderson is one of the few genuinely walkable, older, human scale districts in Clark County, and events are how a district like that stays alive. When I have buyers who tell me they want character, a real neighborhood, and somewhere they can walk to dinner, Water Street is on the short list. That list is short because the valley mostly built outward, not inward.

What I would tell anyone considering the area is to go experience it on a weekend like this one, and then go back on a random Tuesday. Both visits tell you something true. Hot Rod Days shows you the ceiling, what the street looks like when it is full. A Tuesday shows you the floor, what your daily life would actually feel like. Buy based on the Tuesday, and treat the October weekend as the bonus. Older Henderson housing stock near Water Street tends to be smaller, on larger lots, and priced differently than the newer Henderson everyone pictures, so it rewards people who actually spend time there before deciding.

Put both days on the calendar with the right hours. Saturday gets you the full car count, the vendors and the food trucks with daylight to actually see everything.
